The Other Me
The Power of Choices: Writing the Lives We Almost Lived
Inspired by The Other Me, this interactive workshop explores the idea of alternate paths, “what if” moments, and the choices that shape who we become. Students will discuss how a single decision can change relationships, identity, and the direction of a life — both in fiction and in reality.
Participants will explore character-building techniques, emotional storytelling, and speculative “parallel life” prompts while reflecting on themes of grief, hope, love, and self-discovery.
PERFECT FOR:
Creative writing classes
Identity/self-reflection themes
English/literature studies
High school students interested in storytelling and emotional realism
